Elon Musk explains his 5-step algorithm for running companies

Elon Musk is a very divisive figure these days, but I prefer not to get into the politics of things and focus on what I can learn from him as one of the great engineering minds of our time. This is a great talk about his five step process he calls the algorithm and is extremely relevant to all us engineers. I think the most common mistake I see in engineers (and I have been guilty several times too), is to over-optimise something that doesn't need to be. Or as Elon states, to optimise something that shouldn't even exist. The power of first principle thinking could never be understated in my opinion.
